The Lospec Palette List is a database of palettes for pixel art.
We include both palettes that originate from old hardware that could only display a few colors, as well as palettes created by pixel artists specifically for making art.
Made for the PJ competition, with intention to be used for demonic portraits. Mostly hot and melted stone colours. I believe it can succesfully be used in landscapes too.

Palette examples. Note how the less saturated brown examples used for trees/sand can help boost colors around it. You can have similar desaturated cold lifeless metals, wood, etc to apply this affect in other cases. For best use avoid mixing the brown ramps as this is intended to be used for specific cases where you need more contrast. - by
